About the Format
I take a movie / tv series / music video frame and attempt to repaint it exactly as it is, but replace some or all the human characters with furry ones, on live stream. No overpaint, tracing, no color picking from ref frame.
You can chose from the frame options below, or provide your own frames (or both).Â
The form to apply is open for a set amount of time, and at the end i select a set amount of applications that i think fits best to what i'm looking for.
I select which forms to follow through with, based on how well I think the frame would work in the format (my frame options automatically pass on this), and how good I think the frame would work with the character(s). You can give up to 10 frames for me to choose from if you want, including my frame options.
About the ref frames
What I'm looking for with the frames, if you give your own options:
cinematic live action stuff
wide frame
not blurry, not too dark
higher contrast, character focused, more recognizable frames usually work better but neither of these are hard requirement, I'd do anything that I think would look good with your char as a standalone still image :)
background characters are not an issue, I'll replace them with less rendered random anthros, it would count into complexity with the pricing to some extent
i would do more frames from the same movie or series if the shots are different enough
Ref frames I don't use (anymore):
from games
from 3D Animated stuff
too obvious CGI
promo materials for the movie, that were not actually frames in the movie
cropped frames
Where to look for frames:
not google probably, very rarely gives usable results, often cropped, low quality or promo shot
I recommend to try screenshot directly from the movie, if you use streaming services browsers might not let you screenshot, last time i tested you can bypass that in Chrome by disabling graphics acceleration ;)
screenshot from high quality Youtube clips
there are also some sites that have nice movie frames, the one I know is https://film-grab.com/
https://www.imdb.com/ can also have pretty large selection of high quality frames, especially for newer movies and series, but it is often mixed in with edited pics or promotional material from set, the aspect ratio and color grading usually gives those away
Specifics of the format
other than swapping human for furry, i aim to not change anything else, keep same clothes, limited adjustment on body type of the movie character
I stream working on the pics and keep the recordings up on Youtube, one picture usually takes 4-5 stream sessions
you get an at least 3840x2160 px file for private use, and an at least 1600x900 px file for public use
feel free to use the full res file for cropping icon or banner out of it
Pricing and Payment method
$320-$390 based on complexity for a frame with 1 main character, in two halves
first half upfront, second half after I finished your pic and you approve the finished pic
+$60-$90 per additional main character based on the characters and their position (+2 main char max)
crowd and background characters count into complexity
When you fill a form
I will write you within 1 hours of closing the form, on your preferred contact method, to let you know if i picked your form.
If i picked your form, I'll come up with the quote based on its complexity.
If you're in, I send invoice for the first half.
I will also ask for a billing name and address, sorry about that, I need it for local tax paperwork. (Hungary doesn't accept PayPal invoice as legal document, and needs me to write my own invoices in a gov approved app.)
I'll only ask for the second half after I finished your pic.
I have a continuously expanding list of frames i'd be happy to do, when i am open for commissions.
If you'd pick from these you can refer to them by their number in the notes section on the form.
